CMCP has a long-standing tradition of honoring our member organizations whose actions reflect sustained dedication to providing access and opportunity to attorneys of color.

Corporate and Law Firm Awards
Drucilla Stender Ramey Majority-Owned Law Firm Award:
Awarded to the CMCP member majority-owned law firm that has demonstrated the strongest commitment to diversity and inclusion. This award is based on the law firm’s:
- Support of and participation in CMCP
- Number and percent of minority attorneys within the firm
- Number and percent of minority attorneys in partnership, management, and other leadership roles
- Overall law firm culture that values diversity and inclusion, and gives back to the community

CMCP Marci Rubin Emerging Diversity Leader Award:
Awarded to an individual who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion. To be considered, an individual must:
- Practice as an attorney in their first 15 years of practice at a CMCP member law firm at the time of the award decision
- Sustain active involvement in CMCP
- Demonstrate leadership qualities
- Demonstrate a personal commitment CMCP’s mission of diversity
- Promote CMCP and encourage others to participate

John Essex and Guy Rounsaville In-House Counsel Diversity Award:
Awarded to the CMCP member corporate or public agency that has demonstrated the strongest commitment to diversity and inclusion. This award is based on the organization’s:
- Support of and participation in CMCP
- Strong record of hiring diverse outside counsel
- Number and percent of minority attorneys within the legal department, and in management and other leadership roles
- Overall organizational culture that values diversity and inclusion, and gives back to the community

Minority-Owned Law Firm Client Service Award:
Awarded to the CMCP member minority-owned law firm that has best demonstrated outstanding client service. This award is based on the law firm’s:
- Superior service geared to specific client needs
- Clear understanding of its client’s business goals
- Pro-active engagement with the client, and ability to advise clearly on risks & rewards
- Positive results that serve the client’s best interest

CMCP Deborah J. Broyles Law Firm Diversity Leader Award:
Awarded to an individual who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion. To be considered, an individual must:
- Practice as a lawyer at a CMCP member majority-owned law firm at the time of the award decision
- Sustain active involvement in CMCP and/or other diversity organizations
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and significant achievements in promoting diversity at his/her firm
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to CMCP’s mission of diversity, including mentoring and developing minority business attorneys
